SSRS reports for Dynamics 365 using FetchXML Step By Step Installation And Process

 Step 1: Go to Visual Studio and click on the modify option and check the all the related components are available or not if not then install the below components into your visual studio enterprise/professional.



   a. ASP.net and web development.

   b. Azure Development.

   c. .net Desktop Development.

   d. Data Storage And Processing.

   e. Visual Studio Extension Development.




Note : Make sure SQL Server Data Tool check if it not please check it. Please follow the step proper.

Step 2: Go to the visual studio see the ribbon button extension click on that then select manage extension and search the Microsoft Reporting Service Project under online section and download it after that close the visual studio all tabs.  
                                     

Step 2: Please download the Dynamic 365 Report Authoring Extension (With SQL Server Data Tools Support) Form Google. Check the below link.

Download Dynamics 365, version 9.0 Report Authoring Extension (with SQL Server Data Tools support) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Step 3: First time you need to run your visual studio as system administration.





Step 4: Go to your visual studio while creating new project search as a Report Authoring Extension and select the Report Server Project Wizard then click next.

Scenario: Let's assume I have case entity form and have created one custom field XYZ if the case is older than 3 days then I need to make XYZ field as mandatory otherwise it would be optional? Step 1: Create a new filed called "todaydate" with data type "Date and Time" and field type "Calculate". Now click on the edit and make the field as a current date and time by selecting the Now () function under Action that is it no need to give anything under condition.
